- aThis is an average per sample/per participant. It is likely that the average is an underestimate of the actual number of aliquots per sample. This is for several reasons: 1) It is based on the number of aliquots that exist in the TUB Openspecimen data. That means if an aliquot was sent for sequencing, it would not contribute to the average for that particular sample/participant. 2) In addition, there are instances where only part of the original sample has been separated into aliquots. Therefore the # of aliquots per those samples is lower than expected
